15/-1 mod? - Guild Wars Forums

I just found an axe with 15% damage/-1 health degen. NEVER seen this before.

What does it mean? is it desired? Seems way better than 15/-10 armor or 15/-5 energy...

It's not really desired. It is a fairly uncommon mod and there isn't an inscription for it, so it is sorta rare, but it isn't really used. I can understand why you've never seen it before. I've only every gotten it a couple times myself.

The only reason these weapons EVER used to be used was when people had to kill themselves (like being stuck in a wall during a GvG, or during Dunes of Despair bonus) and you'd equip one of these that had a vampiric mod to get -2 health degen. Even that use has kinda stopped.

If I remember correctly, waaaay back when gw fist came out, that dmg mod was bugged. If you had that and put a vamp mod on the weapon as well, it would only take one of the -1's into account. Meaning you would have a weapon that would give you 3/5 health per hit and 15%/-1 for dmg. Basically making it like a vampiric weapon with an unconditional dmg mod. Of course I might just be remembering this completely wrong. My memory ain't what it used to be.

atm I have a hammer req 9 with those mods

but I want a one handed weapon

which skin do you have (cleaver)?

Yeah its quite rare mod, some ppl say they dont drop anymore but they do, its pretty useless mod but its fine

Yes they only drop on GOLD weapons now and that really SUCKS.

That mod is most expensive mod in the WHOLE game BAR NONE. Yes I said BAR NONE. Just one catch. You have to have it in PRE-SEARING ASCALON.

there is a title called Legendary Defender of Ascalon. Simply get to lvl 20 in presearing before going to post.

That mod in presearing is worth upwards of 1,000,000 gold. That is a cost of 2 Million gold in post.

But I digress....I had several of these when I first started but merchanted them cause who wants to die?

By the way if you get stuck type /stuck and you will not be stuck anymore.

It's not a vampiric, imnotyourmother. This is an inherent modifier, like an inscription, that gives a permanent 15% buff to base weapon damage while giving you a constant -1 health degeneration.

A vampiric is a weapon mod that gives you +3 ...+5 life stealing per hit, together with that same health degeneration.

The unusual thing about this "bonus" is that it can be combined with a vampiric mod to give a constant -2 health degen - pretty pointless nowadays but. like HawkOfStorms said, it used to be useful for self-saccing in Dunes and other exploited areas.

its rareish but the things is its only useful nowadays as a collector item, might fetch you a 5-10k maybe?
